灵与肉
一男一女并坐窗前,窗外正是春天。两个人靠得很近。女人说道,“我爱你。你相貌英俊,身家富厚,总是那么衣冠楚楚。”
男人说道,“我爱你。你是一个美妙的思想,一件遥远得无法把握的事物,一支在我梦里萦回的歌曲。”
女人却气冲冲地扭开身子,如是说道,“先生,请你离开我吧。我不是什么思想,也不是在你梦里穿行的事物。我是个女人。我要你企慕我,企慕一个妻子,企慕未来孩子的母亲。”
两个人分了手。
男人在心里说,“看哪,又一个梦幻,眼睁睁地变成了雾气。”
女人说的是,“唉,把我变作雾气和梦幻的男人,究竟是怎么回事”

闪电
一个狂风暴雨的日子,一位基督教主教待在自己的大教堂里。一个不信基督的女人走进教堂,站到主教面前,开口说道,“我不是基督徒。这样的话,我还能得到拯救,还能逃脱地狱之火吗?”
主教看着女人,如是答道,“不能,只有受过圣水和圣灵洗礼的人才能得到拯救。”
主教话音未落,闪电就携着雷声从天而降,教堂里顿时一片火海。
城里的人纷纷跑来,救出了不信教的女人,主教却葬身教堂,饱了烈火的口腹。

the lightning flash
There was a Christian bishop in his cathedral on a stormy day, and a nun-Christian woman came and stood before him, and she said, "I am not a Christian. Is there salvation for me from hell-fire?"
And the bishop looked upon the woman, and he answered her saying, "Nay, there is salvation for those only who are baptized of water and of the spirit."
And even as he spoke a bolt from the sky fell with thunder upon the cathedral and it was filled with fire
And the men of the city came running, and theysaved the woman, but the bishop was consumed, food of the fire
